How Do I Meet People?

Grace Lutheran Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year-old child, a ninety-five-year-old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Grace Lutheran Church.

Adult Bible Study

Grace holds adult bible study every Sunday morning at 8:45 a.m. in the church basement.  The class is led by Pastor Kempfert and offers a variety of topics and interesting discussion.  Pastor Kempfert even requests topics of importance to participants.  They are encouraged to interact and offer suggestions as well as questions.

Sunday School

Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes starting at 8:45 a.m.  Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod Sunday school students are known for having a firm grasp on the understanding of Bible stories and principles.  Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. They also learn current Christian songs to sing in church.

Grade Ladies Aid

The earliest record of Grace Ladies Aid, its constitution, states the purpose of the organization: “The aim of this Aid is to further the work of the Church both at home and abroad, assisting Grace church in mission and other Christian endeavors.” Opening devotions, led by the Pastor, have included topics such as “Women of the Bible”, “Martin Luther” and the “19-Minute Studies”.

The Altar Guild is organized through the Ladies Aid and is responsible for the care and set-up of the communion ware. Baptismal cloths are sewn by Aid members. The Aid organizes lunches for funerals and is available to serve at wedding and anniversary receptions. Hospitalized members are remembered with a gift. One month each year the Aid is responsible for the lunch and entertainment at the Pine Haven Nursing Home birthday party. At Christmas the elderly and shut-ins are remembered with fruit baskets or a gift of money. The Aid has also served lunches for several district meetings of the pastors and the Lutheran Women’s Mission Society.

The Ladies Aid meets at 7 pm the first Thursday of the month (please see the church calendar, as there are times when we do not meet).

GALS

Another opportunity for fellowship among women is our GALS group who participate in fun activities to get to know and grow with each other.

Confirmation Classes

Youth in the 6th through 8th grades can participate in confirmation classes which focus on the main teachings of the Bible.

Sunny & Share Outreach Committee

Our outreach program, Sunny & Share, meets monthly and its goal is to enhance our church’s fellowship and praise activities.  The committee helps to reach out to Grace’s members and the local community.
